It is important to ISTQB® that the achievements and contributions from individuals within the global testing community and ISTQB® ecosystem are recognized. There are two categories of ISTQB® awards available: the ISTQB® International Software Testing Excellence Award and the ISTQB® Growth Contributor Award. ISTQB® strives to identify those people who are making a significant difference as defined by the criteria for each of the awards.
ISTQB® International Software Testing Excellence Award
The ISTQB® International Software Testing Excellence Award is an annual prize given for outstanding contributions to the field of software quality. The award recognises achievement in innovation, research, and the promotion of the software testing profession.

Nominations for the 2024 Software Testing Excellence Award open on 20th of May 2024!
The 2024 Award is reflecting the ISTQB® commitment and gratitude to those who have made a significant difference to the testing profession. Importantly, the winner must fulfil the eligibility criteria and will be an individual who is making an outstanding contribution to the wider testing community and beyond the boundaries of their own organization.
ISTQB® Excellence Award
ISTQB® is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the testing profession, and has become the world leader in software testing certification.
ISTQB® has launched the ISTQB® International Software Testing Excellence Award, an annual prize that is given for outstanding contributions to the field of software quality.
Anyone can make a nomination for the Award, which recognises innovation, research, and the promotion of the software testing profession.

Award Panel
The award panel consists of:
- The ISTQB® President
- The ISTQB® Vice-President
- The Chair of the ISTQB® Marketing Working Group
- The Chair of the MWG "ISTQB® Award" stream of activities
- A representative from each of the ISTQB® Member Boards and ISTQB® Exam Providers that have volunteered to participate
ISTQB® Growth Contributor Award
The ISTQB® Growth Contributor Award is for individuals that have contributed significantly over a long period of time to ISTQB® growth and well-being.
Candidates can be individuals from ISTQB® Member Boards, ISTQB® Exam Providers, or ISTQB® Accredited Training Providers. Nominations are made by Member Boards.
