The award panel will select a short list of three potential Award winners from all entries with a first round of voting; the second round of voting will select the winner among the short-list candidates.

The identity of the winner will be announced fifteen days before the award ceremony.

For being considered by the Panel for this year, the proposal has to be handed by the 31st of August 2023.

The award includes being listed in the ISTQB^® website, a Nomination Plaque and the participation in the Award ceremony, whose location and program will be announced on this website.

The costs that the Award winner will undergo to attend the Award Ceremony will be covered by ISTQB^®.

The ISTQB^® International Software Testing Excellence Award is an annual prize that is given to a person, company, initiative or institution who has made an outstanding contribution to the preservation, innovation and research in the field of Software Quality and Testing.

The potential winner of the Award gives a great contribute to the field of testing thanks to his/her involvement and skills. In particular, his/her work shall:

• Increasing public awareness for the importance of software quality and testing
• Advancing the publication of research findings in the field of software quality and testing
• Pushing further education on the subject of software quality and testing
• Supporting the creation of standards and norms in the area of software quality ad testing
• Giving new impulses to the improvement of software development and testing processes

The Panel is formed by the ISTQB® President, the Chair of ISTQB® Marketing Working Group, The Chair of the MWG "ISTQB® Award" Stream of activities and the representatives of each ISTQB® Member Board and Exam Providers.

Everybody external of the Award Panel can submit a proposal for a potential winner of the ISTQB® International Software Testing Excellence Award. Anonymous and self-nomination proposals will not be accepted.

The ISTQB^® International Software Testing Excellence Award can be won by a person, company, initiative or institute. Members of the Award Panel cannot be nominated as possible winners.
